Police hold back protesters in Downing Street, London
Nov. 11, 1966 - Demonstrations in Downing Street, London, after laying of wreath by the Anglo-Rhodesian Society on the Cenotaph: A service in memory of the Rhodesians who fell in two World Wars was held this afternoon at the Cenotaph in Whitehall. The service was arranged by the Anglo Rhodesian Society whose President is the Marquess of Salisbury. As the Government had stopped the Band of the Scots Guards from playing at the service, the band of the Salvation Army (Chalk Farm branch) played at the service, conducted by Mr. W. Cooper.
