Jul. 07, 1971 - Policemen From Other Nations Take Over Traffic Control In York: A large crowd applauded appreciation at a busy road junction in York, as New York cops, Canadian police and gendarmes from France and Belgium took turns to direct traffic. The policemen who went on point duty were among 60 policemen who are attending a conference of the International Police Association, as part of the City's 1, 900th anniversary celebrations.
