Police and protesters in Downing Street, London

Nov. 13, 1966 - Demonstrations In Downing Street after laying of Wreath By The Anglo-Rhodesian Society On The Cenotaph: A service in memory of the Rhodesians who fell in both world wars was held this afternoon at the Cenotaph in Whitehall. The service was arranged by the Anglo- Rhodesian Society, whose president is the Marquess of Salisbury. As the Government had stopped the band of Scots guards from playing at the service, the band of the Salvation Army played during the service conducted by Mr William Cooper. After the service some of the people who attended the service went to Downing Street and demonstrated outside No 10, over the Government's policy on Rhodesia.
