Police search Wimbledon Common for missing woman

Dec. 12, 1969 - Police Hunt for vanished wife of London newspaper Director.: Police with tracker dogs were today searching Wimbledon Common for clues to the mysterious disappearances of the wife of a London newspaper director. Fears increased that Mrs. Muriel McKay, 55 year old wife of Mr. Alex McKay, the deputy chairman of the News of he World, has been kidnapped. She is believed to have been taken from her home in Arthur Road, Wimbledon at knife-point yesterday afternoon.
