Nov. 11, 1963 - Man Who Held Policeman In Famous Picture Is Jailed For Six Months: A man in a picture flashed round the world which showed him holding a policeman who was being kicked in the face during the October 27 anti-Vietnam demonstration was jailed for six months and fined £200 at Marlborough, Fielder, 22, of Nunnery Road, Canterbury, pleaded guilty to assaulting PC Derek Rogers, causing him actual bodily harm, near the American Embassy. Det. Sgt. Nicholas Carter told the court of a photograph which had been widely used in newspapers. As a result he went to Canterbury after a tip and arrested Fielder. The photograph showed Fielder holding PC Rogers while another demonstrator kicked him in the face. Photo shows Police Constable Rogers (L) at his home in Cumberland Avenue, Hornchurch, with Bob Aylot, the young photographer who took the picture, which they are looking at
