March 14, 1959 - Berlin, Germany - Pressing a button, the minister of Atom Affairs Dr. SIEGFRIED BALKE on March 14th opened the Institute for Nuclear Research in Berlin. After 3 years of building, the Institute has now been finished, casting 15 million marks.
