Jul. 07, 1955 - Secretary of Defense Charles E. Wilson, 65 years old blows out the candles on his birthday cake, presented him Sunday as a surprise by the Marines at Quantico, during the final session of the annual Secretaries Conference. The Marines knowing that Mr. Wilson had fractured a few ribs in a recent accident while aquaplaning, provided an electric blower so he could blow the candles out with case. The Secretaries Conference, attended by Military and civilian leaders of the Department of Defense here and aboard met at Quantic, 14-17 July 1955
