Feb. 28 Reischauer resigning: United States Ambassador to Japan Edwin O. Reischauer has resigned. His successor is Mr. U. Alexio Johnson. Born in Tokyo of American parents, Reishchauer was a internationally recognized scholar and Japanese history and culture. His wife Haru is Japanese woman.
