Feb. 28 Val Peterson on bicycle - The newly appointed American ambassador to Denmark, Val Peterson former Governor of Nebraska, today changed from Cadillac to a humble bicycle, thus keeping a promise he made on the day of his arrival, that one of the first things, he was going to do, was to buy a bicycle, as he had heard there was a brand named Hamlet'. Being a great admirer of Shakespeare's Hamlet, he now pushes the pedals from the American Embassy to Rydhave, the stately mansion North of Copenhagen, where he lives. One of the characteristic things about Copenhagen is the tremendous amount of bicycles - statistics show, that each inhabitant has at least one - and Val Peterson, who is of Scandinavian Grandparents, is bound to become very popular among the citizens of this town - at least when he has learned how to bike.
