May 18, 1963 - A Berliner Wei?e mit Schu? for President President Kennedy. Invited for a real Berliner Wei?e mit Schu? has been the American President Kennedy by the Berlin inn-keeper Konrad Litfin into his Old-Berlin inn. Now Mr.Litfin got a letter from President Kennedy, by which Mr. Kennedy thanks for the invitation, but is telling, that of course the President can not come to the inn, because of the very short time he has during his Berlin-visit in this summer. As indemnity President Kennedy sent Mr. Litfin by the mentioned letter a portrait of himself with a signature. The Berlin inn-keeper is very satisfied with this. Now the letter of the President and his portrait stand on the bar of the inn'Zur Hirsch-Ecke and Mr.Litfin is able to drink always a toast to the man of the White House. ('Berliner Wei?e mit Schu? that is a special-drink of Berlin made of beer and a little sip of raspberry juice)
