May 05, 1971 - William Rogers makes flight in Israel: During his visit to Israel, Mr. William Rogers, the American Secretary of State and his party, yesterday flew in their Bowing 707 to Sharm el Sheikh, the southern bastion of Sinai which Israel insists on keeping - but did not land there. Mr. Rogers was briefed by General Bar Lef, the Israel chief of staff on the strategic points and why Israel chief of staff on the strategic points and why Israel believed it needed territorial contiguity between Elath and Sharm el Sheikh.
