Jul. 07, 1973 - Larry Gaine Wine Jail Appeal - Larry Gaine, former British Empire heavy-Weight boxing champion his appeal yesterday against a sentence of three months jail for theft. He was given a conditional dischargs for 12 months at Southend Querter Sessions. Gains had pleaded Guilty in the lower COurt to steeling 222.12s 5d. from teh British Legion CLub, at WHich he had been steward.
