Portrait of Winston Churchill by Dennis Ramsay

Oct. 09, 1967 - New Portrait of Sir Winston Churchill. The first official portrait of Sir Winston Churchill since his death, by 41-year old artist Dennis Ramsay, is now an display at the Patterson and Shipman Gallery, Albemarle Street. The painting, commissioned by the Deal Corporation and paid for by local subscription, will be on display in the House of commons in about a fortnight and it will then be sent to Deal, where it will be hung in the Town Hall, after the official handing -over on the 24th.
