Dec. 12, 1977 - The Admiral Pinheire de Azevede was elected President of the Political Party Democracia Crists: (PDC), in the last meeting of this Party. The admiral Pinheiro de Azevedo was member of the Council of National Salvation, when the Revolution of 256th April 1974, after that he was the Prime-Minister of the 6th Conditional Government, and recently having found the Movement of Portuguese Social Democracy, he was elected President of the PDC in the meeting of this Political Party that took place in December 1977 in Lisbon.12
