Mar. 03, 1976 - America's New Ambassador previews special issue of British Stamp to mark 200th Anniversary of American Independence: In one of her first official engagements, the new US Ambassador to Britain, MRS. ANNE ARMSTRONG, today saw the design of the special stamp being issued by the Post Office to mark the 200th anniversary of American indepence. The stamp, which goes on sale on June 2nd, features statesman- philisopher Benjamin Franklin and costp- the airmail postage rate from Britain to the USA.
