Postal workers on strike in Rome due to overwork

Feb. 26 Strike - tons of election campaign pamphlets went undelivered as Rome postal workers held a two-day strike to protest at electoral overwork. They are demanding extra pay for delivery of the flood of campaign material mailed by the eight parties and numerous splinter groups competing in next Sunday's general election. Photo Shows postmen staging a sit-in in front of Rome's central post office in Piazza San Silvestro
