Premier Nun Al Said of Iraq

Jul. 07, 1958 - Revolt in Iraq. King Feisal deposed: Bagdad Radio today said that the Government had been overthrown. The Radio said that General Nuri Al Said, the pro-Western Premier, and Crown Prince Abdul Illah, had been killed and their bodies burned. Both Cairo and Damascus Radios, quoting Free Iraqi Radios - said the revolution was led by General Abdul Kerim el Kassem. It claimed that King Feisal had been deposed.
