Jun. 06, 1954 - President Rene Coty unveils General Mangin statue : President Coty greets Madame Mangin, widow of the General, next to her is her son. Next to the President is Rene Pleven, Minister of National Defence. The original statue was blown up by the Germans during the WW2 occupation; the new statue was erected on the same spot, in front of the church Saint Francois Xavier, Paris
