Sep. 09, 1974 - President Of The United States Pays Official Visit To UN Headquarters: The President of the United States, Gerald R. Ford, paid an official visit to United Nations Headquarters today and conferred with Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim an with the President of the General Assembly Abdelaziz Bouteflika (Algeria). During his visit, the President of the United States addressed the General Assembly and was a guest of honour at a luncheon given by the Secretary-General. Before the luncheon Mr Ford held a reception in the North Lounge, where he met with the Chairman of delegation and permanent representatives to the United Nations.
