President Giuseppe Saragat of Italy and Harry Manchester

Mar. 22 Italy's President Giuseppe Saragat is presented a silver model of World War I Caproni bomber by Harry Manchester, one of the 14 former U.S. pilots who served in Italy during the World War I. The veterans are the survivors of 449 who graduated from Foggia flying school. The Caproni was powered by three 150 hp engines, and could make a top speed of about 100 mph
