President Pinochet of Chile on visit to Argentina
1975 - President Pinochet of Chile visits President Isabel Peron: General Augusto Pinochet Ugarte, President of Chile, paid an official visit to President Isabel Peron during his short stay of seven hours in the Argentine capital. During their negotiations at which the two Foreign Ministers also attended, they discussed questions of sovereignity in the Antarctic, formation of bi-national enterprises for public works of mutual interest, and to confirm the opposition of both nations to foreign intervention and foreign doctrines and majorities of both countries reject. It has been noted that leftists lost their influence in six South American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay.
