Prince Albert of Liege at Ostend, Belgium
May 05, 1953 - Prince Albert - Aspirant de Marine: Prince Albert of Liege, who will represent his brother, King Baudouin, at the Coronation, has just made his first appearance in the uniform he will wear in the Abbey. He has been gazetted as aspirant de marine, the equivalent of sub-lieutenant in the Belgian Navy. Prince Albert reported for duty at Ostend, and was ceremoniously welcomed to the mine-sweeping squadron based there. Photo shows Prince Albert of Liege in centre, taking the Oath, at Ostend.
