Jul. 18, 1977 - July 18th 1977 Prince Charles opens reserve-officers congress Today Prince Charles opened the 30th Congress of the Inter-Allied Confederation of Reserve Officers at the Duke of York's Headquarters in London. The confederation was formed in 1948, during the Cold War, by reserve officers, associations in a number of European countries which in the following year were to become signatories of NATO. More than 1, 000 delegates are expected to attend this congress with visitors from Belgium, Canada, Denmark, West Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway and America.
