1967 - Prince Philip Meets the Star of the Film The Sand Pebbles : Last night Prince Philip attended the premiere of the film The Sand Pebbles at the Metropole Victoria London. The premiere raised money for the Muscular Dystrophy of Great Britain Organization, of which the Prince is patron. Actress Marayat Andriane, the Wife of M. Louis Andriane, French director of Administration for South East Asia Treaty Organization, stars in the film with British actor Richard Attenborough. Prince Philip is seen chatting to Marayat Andriane and her co-star Richard Attenborough at the premiere of the film. On the left is Mrs. E. McKenna, widow of Richard McKenna, author of The Sand Pebbles
