Prince Philippe of Belgium on early morning run
1978 - Athlete Prince.: Prince Phillipe, son of the Crown Prince and Princess of Liege and second in line to the Belgian throne. celebrated his eighteenth birthday on April 15th. Currently groomed at a young mans school in an ageing chateau under the guidance of another Prince and Princess, Prince Albert and Princess Paola of the Ardennes district. Before taking his duties seriously as a member of the Royal Family to the full, the young Prince is having the chance to get as much sporting activity in as possible for he knows there will not be much time later, once taking up Royal engagements. The Prince's sports include; parachuting, deep sea diving, skin-diving, swimming, rugby, athletics and archery. Each weekend, Phillipe is visited by his family together with his uncle, King Baudouin who is regularly asked by Phillipe of the qualities needed to be a good king to his subjects and hold good place within the public eye.
