Prince Rabobongse Rabishadna of Thailand and bride

Mar. 28, 1965 - A Royal Wedding in London - Siamese Prince Marries at a Traditional Buddhist Ceremony: Prince Rabobongse Rabishadna, a cousin of the King of Siam, was married today to 24-year-old Sirim Serthavatch, a music student who belongs to another branch of the Royal Family, at a traditional Buddhist ceremony held in the Thai Embassy in London. The couple met while studying at American universities. The Prince, 26-year-old son of the Thai Ambassador in Britian, works for the Bank of America in London, The ceremony began with a visit to the Buddhist Temple in Hampaead this morning, followed by a private ceremony in the Embassy this afternoon. At this ceremony the couple had water sprinkled on their hands, their forheads dusted with scented powder, and joined together by white cords which also formed a circle on their heads.
