Nov. 11, 1976 - Prince Sultan of Saudi Arabia visits the Royal Armoured Corps Center at Bovington: Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector-General of the armed forces of Saudi Arabia made a visit to the Royal Armoured Corps Centre at Bovington and the Lulworth Gun Ranges in Dorset, where he watched a firing demonstration by Chieftain tanks, and many other army vehicles. After lunch he took off from Bovington in a Lynx helicopter and flew back to London.
