Mar. 03, 1971 - Princess Anne and Her Friend Richard Meade Compete in the Crookham Horse Trials. Princess Anne and her friend Richard Meade, the 32 year old British Olympic riding star, met today when both were competing in the Crookham horse trails at Tweseldown Racecourse, Aldershot. The Princess had a slight mishap when she was thrown from her horse, Purple Star, but she was not hurt. Photo shows Princess Anne and Richard Meade chat together during a break in the trials today
