Princess, Caracal lynx, at London Zoo

Mar. 18, 1964 - Princess, The Caracal Lynx Makes her Debut: Princess the first Caracal Lynx to be born at the London Zoo for 52 years, made her public debut today, a month after her birth. Her mother Gigi who is now 3 years old, was found as a kitten, near Annam in Jordan, and was taken to the Royal Palace of king Hussein, where she was hand reared. after about three months, the King wished her to have a gift to the London Zoo and she was flown to this country in an aircraft of the Royal Jordanian Air force which was visiting England.
