May 05, 1968 - Sharon Gets A Royal Soothing: One-year old Sharon Galvin yesterday burst into tears - and with good reason. A Press photographer had just fallen over her push-chair, at Bentalls store in Kingston (Surrey) during the visit to the store by Princess Margaret. The Princess (left) walked over towards Sharon and asked: Is she all right? Sharon was picked up by 26-year old Miss Noreen O'Brien, a friend of her mother's As Sharon cried, Princess Margaret tried to comfort her, but Sharon could not be consoled. Sharon's mother - the family live at Kew-gardens - was upstairs when the incident happened
