Jun. 06, 1957 - Princess Margaret Opens New Hostel for West Indian Women at Camberwell : Princess Margaret went to Addington square, Camberwell, South East London this afternoon to open a new hostel for West Indian women and their Children. The hostel consists of two large houses which have been converted and furnished at a cost of 7, 000 under the Talbot Settlement Scheme. The Talbot Settlement -founded in 1900 for Women's Social Work -Will run the hostel, which includes Small bedrooms, a dormitory With Cubicles, Kitchens, office sand a first-aid Post.
