May 05, 1945 - Prisoners cheer as Dachau horror camp is liberated : Dachau, The most infamous concentration camp of all has been liberated by men of the 42nd Rainbow division of the U.S.7th Army. Scenes of appalling horror were witnessed by the American troops as they went from building to building. Thousands of starved corpses were piled nearlyto the rode awaiting cre, and thousands of living went crazy with joy when the fough boys crashed into their prison. Many of the prisoners immediately seized theor S.S. Tortures and killed them, throwing theor bodies into the surrounding the camp.
