May 05, 1959 - Ronald Marwood Executed at Pentonvilie Prison. Police Intervene as Crowds Struggle Outside Jail: A crowd about 700 strong demonstrated outside Pentonville Prison this morning when Ronald Harwood was executed for the murder of Police Constable Summers - during an affray in Holloway. Mounted police had to force back the booing - muttering crowd. Blows and kicks were exchanged between the police and the demonstrators - and two arrests were made. There was a wild seething mass of fighting people as four policemen struggled to maintain their grip on a struggling man.
