Nov. 11, 1959 - Podola Hanged: Guenther Fritz Podola, 30, was hanged this morning at 9.45 at Wandsworth Prison. He was sentenced to death at the Old Bailey on September 24 for the capital murder by shooting of Det. Sgt. Raymond Purdy.
