The football team from Chelmsford Prison, were last night allowed out for the first time to take part in the Division 11 Cup Final of the Mid-Essex Combination against Thaxted village football club, at the Chelmsford City ground. The prison team won by 6 goals to 4. Captain W.I. Davies, the prison Governor, was at the match to cheer the prison team to victory.
