Feb. 02, 1980 - Prof. Milton Friedman Calls on Mrs. Thatcher: Prof. Milton Friedman, a Nobel laureate and professor at the University of Chicago, spent an hour at No 10 Downing Street last night in discussion with Mrs. Thatcher and other ministers. Prof. Friedman had made a recent statement saying that Mrs. Thatcher's Government was not getting its economic policy quite right'. The Prime Minister has long been an admirer of the Friedman philosophy with its emphasis on curbing inflation and reducing State intervention.
