Professor Peter Metz with 12th century sculpture, Berlin
1966 - Sculptures have a permanent place again.: On 16th April, 1966 a new collection of sculptures, put together by Manager Prof. Dr. Peter Metz, will be shown in the new section for sculptures at Berlin -Dahlem Museum. This is the first visible success the public museums belonging to the Foundation for Prussian Cultural Heritage in Berlin have. DM 30 millions are needed to realise their building project, which, after being finished, will put Berlin on the top of the German museum-world again. Among the above mentioned sculptures the public will see a representative selection of about 3, 500 objects, which have not been shown since 1939. Photo shows Professor P.
