Protest in London to stop arms sales to South Africa

Oct. 10, 1970 - STOP ARMS SALES TO SOUTH AFRICA PROTEST MEETING POLICE CLASH WITH DEMONSTRATORS. A protest meeting, organised by the Anti-Apartheid Movement, took place today in Trafalgar Square, London. During the demonstration a militant group clashed with the police and many arrests were made. Photo shows One of the demonstrators is forced into a police van during the disturbance in Trafalgar Square today
