Jun. 06, 1964 - Sixty thousand people greet the Queen in Aberdeen surprise visit to Typhoid City': Crowds estimated at 60, 000 strong greeted H.M. the Queen when she made a visit last night to Aberden the City that was stricken such a short time ago with the Typhoid Epidemic. She spent more than thirty minutes talking to Dr. Ian MacQueen the man who led the successful fight against the outbreak.
