Oct. 10, 1957 - Queen Elizabeth II of England Visits The United Nations: Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by her husband, Prince Philip, visited the United Nations today. During her visit the Queen addressed the General Assembly and afterwards mat with delegates. Here, Her Majsty, Queen Elizabeth, in escorted up to Ceremonial staircase by Sir Leslie Munro (New Zealand), President of the General Assembly.
