Queen Elizabeth II flying home on Concorde
Nov. 11, 1977 - The Queen Flies Home In Concorde: The Queen and Prince Philip arrived back in England at Heathrow airport last night in record time. The Queen returning from her Jubilee tour of the West Indies, arrived 3 minutes earlier than expected on the Supersonic Jet. During the 3, 686 mile flight from Barbados which lasted 3hr 42min the Queen enjoyed the selection from a typical Concorde menu including caviar, champagne and smoked salmon.
