Jul. 07, 1965 - The Queen Camps Out over looking the Blue Nile at Gondar Ethiopia: Last friday the Queen who is on a state visit to Ehiopia, camped out 23, miles north of Gondar, the old Ethiopian capital, set up overlooking the Blue Mile, 32000ft below. The Queen's tent had all mod, cons, and luxury with hot water deep carpets and electric candelabra. There were 50, tents in the Royal camp and they were guarded by troops with machine Guns, and a thornbush all the way round to keep out stray packs of foxes and Baboons. Photo shows The Queen, Emperor Hails Selassie look out over the falls called Tississat Falls where the Blue Nile begins
