Nov. 11, 1969 - Queen and Duke of Edinburgh opened new college block and libraries of Imperial College of Science and Technology. H.M. The Queen visiting the students common room at the Imperial College of Science and Technology yesterday, with Lord Penny, director (on right) and Mr. Piers Richard Corbyn, President of the students union, who handed her a letter from the students asking he to consider changing the college charter and for her help on winning other reforms. Mr. Corbyn said the Queen told him she would reply to the letter. The occasion was the opening by Queen and Duke of Edinburgh of the new £3 million college block and libraries
