Queen Elizabeth II and Jon Vickers, Leeds

Oct. 10, 1958 - The Royal visit to Leeds: Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip are making a two day visit to the city of Leeds. After visiting the works of Messrs R.W. Crabtree and Sons, and Messrs Montagu Burton Ltd, yesterday they later paid a visit to the Grand Theatre, Leeds and attended a performance of Samson by the Covent Garden Opera Company and later went on stage and chatted with some of the cast. Photo shows the Queen seems highly amused as she chats with Samson, played by Jon Vickers, at the end of the show at the Grand Theatre on Friday evening
