Queen Elizabeth II and Peter Phillips, Y Bwthyn Bach

Dec. 16, 1980 - Master Peter Vists The Royal Den - Princess Anne's three year old son Peter played host to some of his famous Royal relatives the other day. He was paying his first visit to the miniature Welsh Cottage Y Bwthyn Bach scaled to a child's size, given to the Queen when she was princess Elizabeth of York by the people of Wales in 1933. The cottages which is 24 ft long, 8 ft deep and has rooms 5 ft high, Master Peter's Visit Accompanied by his grandmother. The Queen, is featured in the BBC TV Programs Royal Heritage which traces the story of Britain's Royal Buildings which will be shown on BBC TV on 28th December. The Cottage and its Furnishings remain exactly as when it was presented when the Queen was six years old. Since 1931 different generations of Royal Children have played in the famous den, including Prince Charles who when he was five left a tap running and nearly flooded the building
