Nov. 28, 1957 - The Queen sees statue of herself by Nigerian artist. : The Queen and Prince Philip this afternoon paid a visit to the 228th Exhibition of the Royal Society of British artists at the Society's Galleries in Suffolk Street, Pall Mall, London. Among the works which the Royal Couple saw was the statue of the Queen by the Nigerian sculptor Benedict Enwonwu, The statue is to be cast in bronze for the House of Representatives in Lagos. Photo shows the Queen inspects the statue of herself by the Nigerian artist Benedict Enwonwu during her visit to the R.S.B.A. Galleries this afternoon
