Queen Elizabeth II and Windsor Riding School

Apr. 17 And the Queen didn't have a Penny: What an embarrassing moment for Her Majesty when she stopped her car to inquire from blacksmith Tom Bassett what the parade was all about so near to Windsor Castle. When she was told that the people in Medieval dress were members of the Windsor Riding School, and they were collecting for a disabled children's charity, Tom saw his chance and asked for a contribution. But the person whose head appears on all the coins of the Realm was regretfully forced to admit Oh dear! I'm sorry I have no money. We have just come back from riding. Photo Shows The Queen admits to Tom Bassett that she couldn't contribute because she hadn't got even a penny
