Queen Juliana of the Netherlands and General Ridgeway
Jun. 26, 1953 - Queen Juliana invests General Ridgeway: General Ridgeway, the retiring Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, flew to Holland yesterday from Belgium, where he was presented with the Grand Cross of the Order of the Crown by King Baudoin of the Belgians. Shortly after his arrival in the Hague, Queen Juliana invested the Genearl with the Grand Cross of the Order of Orange Nassan, one of the highest Dutch decorations.
