Sep. 09, 1956 - Queen Juliana attends closing of the third dyke in the Zuyder Zee reclamation scheme: Queen Juliana attended the ceremony of Sealing the last dyke in the Third Poldar on the Zuyder Zee Reclamation scheme. There are five polders in all and when they have all been sealed by dykes - and the pumping stations have done their tasks - the entire Zuyder Zee scheme will be completed.
