Queen Victoria statue moved to new site, Blackfriars
Feb. 20, 1967 - Queen Victoria statue moved to New site at Blackfriars: The bronze statue of Queen Victoria near Blackfriars Bridge, was moved yesterday to make way for a traffic underpass. She was trussed on to a crane and swung thiery yards to a new site. In her old position Queen Victoria looked towards the city. In her new position she will look towards the Thames.
